How to Take Care of Your V12 Safety Boots

How to Take Care of Your V12 Safety Boots
Posted: 20th December 2022

V12 safety boots provide protection from the hazards and possible situations which may present themselves in the workplace and which could cause injury to you. All V12 safety boots are designed with this in mind. However, even though V12 safety boots are durable and packed with protection you still need to take care of them properly to prolong their life, otherwise they will not provide the original level of protection for your feet that was intended.

By following some simple steps, you can preserve the life of your V12 safety boots, which in the long run, will reduce the number of new pairs of boots that you have to buy.

Cleaning your boots is important to preserve them, but using the wrong cleaning agent or tools can damage the leather. To clean your V12 boots, the manufacturer recommends that you use warm soapy water to remove the dirt, and use a soft bristled brush so that you don’t scratch or mark the leather, then gently towel-dry them. Do not dry your boots using high temperatures or direct heat as they may become brittle and cracked.

Try not to mistreat your V12 boots, as tough as they may seem, tossing them around in the van or pulling them off with the laces tied will only lead to damage sooner or later. When taking your boots off, always undo the laces. If they are still fastened and you are pulling your boots off at the heel, this can lead to the sole of your boots coming away from the upper.

When you have taken your boots off, it is recommended that you keep them stored in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight to ensure that they don’t fade.
